These class descriptions are meant for informative purposes and you can, of course, use your imagination in any way that you would like as you build and progress your character.
The scholar is a tireless student of the mystical arts, ever increasing their comprehension of the world around them, both seen and unseen. As your knowledge grows, you can take the path of the Mage or the Occultist.
The path of the Mage opens up a world of elements to you, allowing you to tap into the ether and rain magic down upon your enemies. This path allows you to become either a Tempest or a Spellbinder. The Tempest is a crowd controlling master that can still deal solid ranged damage. The Spellbinder is the ultimate student of elemental magic and area of effect spells, but their relationship with the ether makes them more vulnerable to the corporeal realm around them.
The path of the Occultist is one of dark magic and self sacrifice. You develop a relationship with the more sinister sides of the mystical world. This path allows you to become a Sanguine or a Necromancer. The Sanguine find their magic through the power of lifeblood. Both their own and that of those around them. Their understanding of lifeforce allows them to better protect their companions and avoid damage in melee combat. The Necromancer is a true master of undeath, capable of summoning powerful creatures and cursing enemies.
