These class descriptions are meant for informative purposes and you can, of course, use your imagination in any way that you would like as you build and progress your character.
A devotary of the gods, but worship may come in many forms, though all will be rewarded. As your link with the gods grows, you can take the path of the Vicar or the Zealot.
The path of the Vicar increases your ability to heal your party members and deal damage from a distance through spiritual powers making you an invaluable ranged combatant. This path allows you to become either a Priest or a Pontiff. The Priest is the ultimate healer, but do not under estimate their spiritual damage. The Pontiff focuses more on buffing their party and supporting the group in other ways.
The path of the Zealot is for the ardent that wish to be in melee combat. They become more versatile with their martial prowess but do not lose the ability to heal. They also gain access to traditional armors. This path allows you to become either a Crusader or a Flagellant. The Crusader gives you the ability to wear moderate armor and increases your abilities in physical combat and healing. The Flagellant shows its devotion to the gods in a different way, through that of pain. You gain the ability to heal yourself when harming others, or heal others when taking damage. The true zealot does not believe in armor as pain brings them closer to god, and the gods will punish flagellants that wear protection in an attempt to avoid scourges.
